The gustoso per natura roasting process
Creating a superior coffee blend starts with selecting the best green coffee beans available. Gustoso per Natura uses coffee beans from several small, certified coffee estates at different geographical locations. This allows us to create well-balanced coffee blends with a variety of flavours.
Each green coffee sample is tested and classified before arriving at the plant.
Picking the right green beans is an essential step in creating a coffee with a harmonious taste that hits all the right notes. Our trusted suppliers guarantee a consistent flavour for our different coffee blends.
It is very important for Gustoso per Natura to only use beans from sustainable and reputable coffee farms.
Gustoso per Natura use the traditional pre-roasting method.
The post roasting method gives us the flexibility to roast the different beans to their specific optimal roasting level. Once the different beans are roasted, they are mixed to the blend’s specific ratio. The post roasting process enhances the different beans specific character in the blend.
We use Arabica and Robusta beans in our blends in different ratios. Or a blend of different origins of the same type of bean. For example in our 100% Arabica blend.
We roast our coffee beans slow and at low temperatures to the finest Italian tradition.
Our preferred roast is a medium roast. The medium roast gives our coffee a delicate balance between sweetness and acidity and guarantees a very well-balanced taste that is enjoyed by many coffee enthusiasts all over the world.
While roasting our coffee, we do not rely on too much automation. One of our roasting specialists is always keeping an eye on the process. It requires a lot of skill and precision to roast coffee beans to the required level.
After roasting the beans, they need to be cooled immediately to avoid changes in quality and aroma. We use an air-cool system to lower the temperature and minimize waste. This allows us to obtain low humidity beans and ensures the highest quality in the final product
Once the beans are cooled down we use the recycled air to filter damaged beans or residue from the whole beans.
This is the last important step before we transport the beans to our packaging stations.
All our coffee blends or single origin coffees can be used for any type of extraction. Whether you prefer Espresso, French press, pour-over, drip-coffee or Moka pot, just grind the beans to your preferred method.
